Cannot connect Prusa i3 Hephepstos to Windows

I am stumped.

Trying to update firmware for a heated print bed. Installed Arduino on my Windows 10 machine. Connected the USB cable and nothing happens.

The board on my printer lights up from power from the USB cable but Windows doesn't recognize anything. I have no idea what to try next appreciate suggestions for how to get connected.

Thank you for your reply those instructions are a good reference. My problem was that Windows did not update the drivers automatically. I found this site to be helpfule [www.arduino.cc]
