Problem with "home axes" (G28)
April 23, 2016 03:20PM
Hi.
Finally the printer is assembled.
I used old DVD drives and arduino uno with CNC shield.
Build dimensions equals 39mm in all directions, offset and home position equals 0mm.
I think that printer is calibrated because when I move hotend 10mm it moves exactly 10mm each time I tries.

Problem is when I hit home button (for example Y button marked below)

Or when i tries to print something (slic3r before starts to print sends "G28 ; home all axes").

Motors starts to spin till I hit restart button sad smiley.

Thanks for your time.

P.S
Yes, i know that its small printer, but before I try to build something bigger, I want to solve all problem and test print something winking smiley

This sounds as if the endstops do not work correctly. Do the motors move everything towards home, or in the opposite direction? Test the individual axis and see how they behave. If you trigger an endstop by hand, does the related motor stop?

I didn't knew how "home all axes" works (moves till end stops reach).
I don't have end stops jet, so I just remove G28 from slic3r and everything works perfectly fine.
I just need to remember to moves them manually to 0,0,0 before starts printing.

Thanks a lot ;D
