Hi, I uploaded the Marlin firmware with u8glib to a new MKS Gen 1.4 board, but the LCD is only flashing and beeping. When I turn the knob on the display it turns off and quits beeping, but after a few seconds it resumes. I have the cables for it hooked up correctly. Anyone know why this is?

Is there a contrast preset on the back of the display board, might be turned down

I was told I needed U8g2 so I downloaded it and added it to the firmare, but still nothing.

Sounds like your 5V source isn't powerful enough, and turning the knob draws the power below working voltage causing it to turn off and then as caps build back up it turns on again.

Well after searching I found out that one of the ribbon cables need to be turned around. Once I did that the display worked!
