I am building a i3 inspired clone reprap though I am looking for files like for a laser cutter to cut the y axis ends like you might find on a trendy or something of the like. I would 3d print it if I could find an stl whenever I get my 101hero up and running. Have a look and any hints would be appreciated. Also good sources for a starting Marlin config would be greatly appreciated. [www.youtube.com]

I would just go to prusa's page and grab his official STL's and print them. If you don't want to wait for your other printer to be up and printing you might find some lazer cutting files on thingiverse or if you have a specific prusa variant in mind then see if you can find the home page for that printer and they might have files.
