Need signal when printing finished.
January 26, 2024 08:11AM
I have a heat fan who warm the printing box environment. Where can I find an output signal who indicate when the print is finished from Geeetech gt2560? Marlin 1.9. so the heater turns off.
0v wen finished an 5v when printing, some thing like that. There is a piezo summer who you can activate so you get a signal when finished. How to activate this?

Thanks
Ola A.

OK And where on the board can I find a pin who is ok to use? And what number is that pin. Please be a little more generous with explaining!

OK I'm a little slow. You see that there are fan connections on the card. One of these should be usable.
What G code should I use to turn on/off fan #3 on the Geeetech GT2560 board?

Have now sat for a couple of hours without being able to figure out
what G code should I use to turn on/off fan #3 on the Geeetech GT2560 board?
Have tried with M107 and M106 but do not understand which port, pin I must have in the code. What should the code look like?

... to get all available pins you can use "M43" - [marlinfw.org]

Which pins are assigned to your actual configuration should be found in the documentation to your board ...

You need to research your board...

Note: Controllable fan: 1, Uncontrollable fans: 3

There is no software control over fan 3

There are very few free pin on this board that are broken out
So what things are you not using?
for eg if your not using Extruder 2, there are 3 IO lines you can get access to there...

I have solved it all now. I use an optocoupler and connects it to the heatbed control signal. When the bead switches off, the heating fan also switches off.

Thanks for trying to solve my problem. You always learn... :-)
