Did anyone get the arduino schematics to open in KiCad? I have the latest version of KiCad, and it says for example: file.sch is NOT EESchema file (trying to open from eeschema.exe).
Also tried opening arduino .brd files. Message is: Unknown file type
Now I CAN open the PIC schematics but I want to build a single Arduino-based system using the new GCode host software. Also I want to study how this works by following the schematics but I can't do that if I can't open it . . .
any help appreciated
Thanks in advance,
Willow

They're done in Eagle, unless I miss my bet. Eagle has a free, restricted size version of their PCB board design system that you can download.

yeah, it uses eagle. the program is totally free if you just want to view schematics (or make 3"x4.5" boards.)

We have recently ported Arduino Uno R3 design to Kicad. You can find it here at http://numato.com/arduino-design-in-kicad
