I'm stuck configuring my COREXY end stops
October 03, 2014 11:30PM
Hi all,
I have built a h-bot in the past and had no problem getting my end stops configured correctly, meaning the motors moved in the correct direction so that XY homed. I recently built a Core XY printer but cannot get the X to home correctly (X moves in the opposite direction). I have played with the "home dir", "invert axis direction", min/max direction, physical motor polarity at the ramps board. I can get either the Y to home correctly but not the X and vise versa by playing with configurations I stated previously. Without physically move the homing location for X, I am lost on what else to try. I have attached some pictures of my setup (if of any use) and my configurations. I would welcome any suggestions.

Try swapping the XY motors.

I did plug the X motor into the Y header on the ramps board and the Y into X with pretty much the same situation. One axis always drove in the wrong direction. I can get both to move in the correct direction by changing the "home dir" in the configuration file but this seems to add other problems getting it to work with repetier host.

Andrew,
I ended up swapping the motors and the end stops which is now working. The X axis is now my Y and vise versa.

Thanks,
Greg
