Mounting Gt2 belts- Vertical or Horizontal?

Hi everyone!

Maker bot seems to mount its timing belts in an orientation in which the pulley is facing upward. Other 3d printers (Such as BuildersBot) Have their pulley facing sideways. I am using a GT2 6 mm wide for my 3d printer, so how should I mount it? I'm using motors with 68 oz/in torque.

It won't make a difference. Mount your motors whichever way is easiest for you.

You could argue that if the pulley is vertical the belt is more likely to slip to the bottom thru gravity.
But so what? It won't fall off the pulley.
