Extruder stepper rapid oscillations (Sprinter)

Hey everyone,

I'm running into trouble with the Sprinter firmware. It compiles fine and loads up onto the arduino fine, but as soon as the arduino starts running the firmware, the extruder stepper starts rapidly oscillating (looks like only 1-2 steps or less in either direction, loud high frequency noise which we think is coming from the plastic housing and maybe a loose bolt or something).

We've run the test code suggested on the wiki page for RAMPS 1.4 (http://reprap.org/wiki/File:RAMPS1.4_TestCode.pde), and everything runs fine (including the extruder stepper motor), it's only when running Sprinter that we run into issues.

We have since tried running the Marlin firmware, and are able to get it to compile and load just fine, but we can't get Repsnapper to connect to it at all using Marlin.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I can get more info as requested/needed!

Thanks!

... maybe your extruding speed is so fast, that the motor stalls - try to reduce it ...
