The distance moved is the number of teeth times the belt pitch and does not depend on the diameter (assuming it is close enough that belt does not slip).Quote

whoever first measured them and put into the firmware, actually used RPed pulleys slightly smaller
than necessary (to be in sync with the belt pitch).
