Introducing the ecksbot

Hi Everyone,

I tried posting this first on the developers forum but it doesn't seem to get the same traffic as this forum. Also, given that the ecksbot is a Prusa 2 derivative this is probably a more appropriate home.

We designed the ecksbot back in May after running into a number of problems with the Prusa 2 design. Our intention was to design a 3D printer that is a sturdier and sleeker derivative of the Prusa 2. We engineered some new innovations that we hope you like and tried to bring a little more Sells Mendel back into the mix, making it a true and evolutionary RepRap.

The ecksbot was designed in Solidworks and the source files Solidworks, STEP and STLs are available on github here [github.com]. We've created a wiki page on [reprap.org] that includes the BOM and links to our assembly and wiring guides found at [forum.eckertech.com].

If you are interested in more information on how we improved the ecksbot over Prusa 2, please visit [blog.eckertech.com]

We hope that this design serves the community well. Below is a picture of an assembled ecksbot.
