Hello!

I just bought a prusa i3, I am pretty excited smiling smiley

I tried to print the following object: [www.thingiverse.com] but I got the artifacts you can see in the attached picture.

Any idea why am I getting those gaps?

Cheers!

Did you try this?: http://reprap.org/wiki/Triffid_Hunter%27s_Calibration_Guide

Seems like calibration errors. And perhaps your hotend is too hot. Try to turn down the temperature in 5K steps and try to extrude (manually, for example with pronterface).
The colder you extrude, the better your print will get. You just need to find a good temperature.

Prusa i3 Rework (from Replikeo.com) & original Prusa i3 MK2 (from shop.prusa3d.com) << the MK2 definitely is worth the higher cost!
