Y-axis moves in one direction only

I have just wired my Prusa i2 with Ramps1.3.
When I run the axis with Pronterface the y-axis moves in the positive direction regardless if I press the +Y or the -Y soft button. Any ideas?

Prusa with cast PU parts, RAMPS 1.3, Wades extruder, J-Head hot end

Sounds like its not getting an end stop signal.

Gcode M119 will tell you what the reprap thinks the stops are doing.

Thank you, that solved the problem with the Y-axis and also the z-axis not moving and the extruder not turning problems! smiling smiley
