Prusa model, using normal threaded rods.ABS-3mm/0.5, 230 grades.Layer: 0.3 or 0.4

After the firsts 20mm, the head touches the current layer, then head sank increasingly more in plastic.The head became completely immersed in plastic .It seems the motors on z axis lose steps.
On the manual control, z-axis movement seems to be calibrated correctly and the move is correct.

The Z axis stopped moving after 20mm?

No, the Z axis are moving normaly (it seems to move normaly!!), but the plastic grow much faster than the head is going up and the head is immersed in plastic.

Sounds like you don't have the z axis calibrated correctly. The z axis is pretty easy - its just a calculation based on your thread pitch. The reprap calculator here can help you determine the correct values.
