Hi, it has been 2 times now that my nozzle tip from jhead extruder melt and closed itself. I use PLA and max temperature is 175.. no smoke... i just made it print for lot of hours and i clean the tip often with a pair of vice grip and at the end it closed the small 0.5mm hole. Why? how can i avoid this... i will try screwing a new hole ... Thanks for help

I have many hours on my 0.5mm j head with both PLA and ABS. I have used it heavily for over a year. I have also in all this time never cleaned the tip except to occasionally wipe it, while hot, with a paper towel. I have never had a hot-end related issue.

Why do you feel the need to clean so often?

Yea with a paper towel will be my next move (this is very fragile), i always clean the tip because of the plastic stuck on it. I tought it was made harder than that, but it is not. Never squize the fucking tip or it might close.
