RepRap software does not connect to electronics

I have installed RepRap software and do not get a temp reading. Repsnapper works, but I would like to get RepRap to work. and cannot seem to find the problem. Do I have to turn on the RepRap software? I suspect it is one of the settings but I am using the same settings com4 and 19200 for Repsnapper. Any ideas?

The RepRap Host software requires the standard 5D firmware for proper temp reading.

Thanks for the information. When using Repsnapper x,y and z move, however when attempting to run the gcode for a part the xyz does a little dance and then stops. It does not continue to run the program. Does Repsnapper also require the 5D firmware? I am using the Tech zone monolithic board. Thanks. JHR
