SF41 Settings

Hi,

I hope all forum members are well.

Please see below some SF41 settings for a RepRap Mendel on Windows 7 using an Adrians Geared Extruder, 0.4mm nozzle (producing extrudate a width of roughly 0.48mm), Repsnapper and PLA Plastic.

Thanks go to NelsonRap who initially posted some settings which got me started. I have tweaked some of these settings and managed to print some good quality calibration prints and a set of Mendel parts with these settings.

If any further details are needed, let me know.

Regards to all.

Temperature is not activated ? I had no idea that can work.

Most of us do that in the preface (bookends in sf 42)

... or use external temperature controllers ...

Or preheat in the host software..

Until somebody tells the machine otherwise (or resets it) setting the temperature sticks.

Hi,

The temperature is set in Repsnapper at 200C and my Start GCode has M104 S200 T0 at the beginning.

I may need to increase this slightly to maintain a nozzle temperature above 190C for multiple part prints. I've only printed 3-4 parts per print, when i did try to print 6 vertices at once i had extruder problems so need to look into this further to see if this was due to hardware or software.

Regards

Raj

That's interesting, I'll give it a try (setting in preface seems good for not forgetting).
