hi, i use sanyos ( or rather, still testing)

mine are 9v, .85A

i use 4983, they seem to skip less steps than 4988 (still not sure why)

did you calibrate the drive current?

when mine is almost calibrated, i measured a casing temp of about 45-50degrees. just fyi

First, remove the belts to make sure there is no mechanical friction. You should be able to turn the motor with your fingers easily when powered down.

In case the motors still don't turn - they should even with a very low current setting at the Pololus - check the cabling. Power the board down, pull the motor plug(s). Measure wether there's a resistance of about 7.5 ohms between the left two pins on the motor connector. The same should be true for the right two pins of the motor. The resistance of each pin of the left pair should have infinite high resistance (isolated, no connection) to each pin of the left pair.
