New 3D printer creatr copy

Hi guys,

I'm planning to make a cheaper copy of the leapfrog creatr called: RepToad. My brother has a creatr so i can allmost use the same measurements. The only thing is that mine will be 60cm of height and the creatr is 50cm. (not that i'ld print anything that height but... i had these rexroth profiles of 60cm)
The only change i am planning to do is using the ramps 1.4 to control the stepper motors. I'm also going to use the budastyle extruder. I heared these were better extruders than the creatr ones?
So i ordered this kit:

I also have the possibility to use a cnc milling and cnc turning machinery.
For now i can show you the 3D developement i am making (see attachement).
I am also going to use 2 steppers for the Y axis same as the creatr and 1 nema 23 for the z axis with GT2 timing belt.
Now here are some questions for you specialists.
- What do you think of the idea of building this 3D printer from scratch?
- Is there a possibility to use the dual stepper motor connections on the ramps 1.4 (normally used for the z axis on de prusa i3) to use them for the dual Y axis i'm planning to use? (adjust config.h?)
- What software should i use and why?
- What size liniar rod would you use and why?
- What lead screws should i use and why? Should i use ball bearings or trapeziumthread? Also what size and why?
- For now i am using the MK2a heatbed. (i know its small but i'm planning to upgrade creatr size once i get started) i know i should adjust the endstops also because of the heatbed size).
Is there a heatbed you should use and why?
- I am going to use a pc power supply it has 15Amps on 12V. (should be enough or not?)

If you have any suggestions or questions please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

In a list of printers to mimic, a leapfrog would not be on mine. Their design has numerous fundamental flaws the result in poor performance and reliability.

Thanks for your honest answer. What do you think can be done to make it a better printer? Or please tell me why there is a poor performance and reliability. I have not used any other printer do far so its hard to compare for me.
Greetings
