You may need the new straight-through no-bend extruder then.

What's the big deal? 500 metres of 3 mm filament only weighs a bit over 3.7 kg.

{3.141592*(3/2)^2 mm^2 x 1000 mm/m} ~ 7070 mm^3/m ~ 7.07 cm^3/m

7.07 cm^3/m x 500 m ~ 3535 cm^3 ~ 3.535 dm^3

3.535 dm^3 x 1.05 (density) ~7.7 kg

Hell, there are no rules here - we're trying to accomplish something.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Turns out the spools are 300mm in diameter. I *hope* the PLA bends round
them!
