Pololu Stepper Driver Possible Failure, Motor Hum

Hi,
I am having a problem with one of my Polulo Drivers, my printer has been working for a month or so with no problem then yesterday the Y axis stopped moving midway through a print, resetting the printer and checking the connections solved the problem for a while then it happened again. It is not a current issue i have tried adjusting the trimpot.
I switched the Y and Z Drivers and this solved the problem for a while but now it will not move the motor at all. The Z motors just hum when i attempt to move them in pronterface.

Any ideas if It might be dead or anyway to check?
I checked all the connections and re soldered one the looked a bit iffy but no joy.

Thanks in advance

Josh

It is probably a dry joint on the Allegro chip on a pin that only affects one of the two coils.
