Hot End Heating up on boot

Hi-- As soon as I turn my printer on (Prusa Mendel) the LED4 light immediately turns on and the Hot End starts heating up indefinitely. It's as though it was given a command to heat up and it can't reach the requested temperate but it keeps trying. I've turned it off and on multiple times, and I've tried pressing both reset buttons on the RAMPs board and underneath on the Arduino, but to no avail.

Is there any way to get it to stop a command and reset entirely?

One thing I forgot to mention...I just discovered that the Mofset Q1 chip is heating up. And when I check the temperature with Pronterface it gives me a reading of 454.6 degrees Celsius. All this is while the LED4 red light is on. Any ideas?
