The X and Y moving is fine. but, the Z-axis only can move on one direction when press Z+ displacement button on Pronterface.
The Pronterface will be dead if I press Z- displacement button. I need to click the connect button to reconnect and active the pronterface software again.
I do not know what's wrong.
Anyone got this problem? thank you so much!

Check you endstops with status m119, if endstops are triggered, you cant move in that direction.

Also check you have plugged in Z end stop correctly. If you plug in a mechanical Z endstop on + and - the board will crash when the endstop is hit. (also shorts +5 to gnd) Which looks like a disconnect.

I am using a mechanical Z endstop.
how to check endstops with status m119? thank you so much!

In pronterface.

Connect to you printer

Under the main window, next to the send button is a small area to enter text. Enter m119 in that window and hit the send button.

It will reply with the end stop status as the machine see it.
