Hot End and Heat Bed Problems

Hello All

I'm hoping you can help me.

I'm using RAMPS 1.4 with an Arduino Mega on a home built system. Everything is working as it should except for the temperature control. When ever I heat the extruder ( I use simplify3d) you can see the bed temp rise despite the bed being off and staying cold. The bed is mimicking what ever I \tell the extruder to do. However the bed remains cold regardless of what the temperature states.

Its a difficult situation to describe as I have never come across it before, the hot end works and heats as it should the bed also displays the temp is rising despite being turned off and remaining cold, thermistors check out okay and don't know what else to check.

All of that probably didn't make much sense.

Please help.

Look for a short between T0 & T1 on the RAMPS board.

Thanks for your quick reply that directed me to my problem. There was no short between T0 & T1 but because of your prompt leading me to check I discovered the RAMPS board was not seated correctly on to top of the Arduino board.

Pushed into place and now all is in order and working correctly.
