I'm using john's tonokip and sometimes the axis work and sometimes don't. sometimes 2 axis will work and then one side of the axis work only. what am i doing wrong? do i have to change any other values? I'm using ramps electronics. Is there something i need to change in the firmware settings/files??
I would first check the connections at the headers on the ramps board, for both motors and optos. Do they slide on and off of the pins easily? If so, you may not be making good electrical contact. Make sure the sockets are pushed fully into the connector.
