I am seeking advice for a 24v setup. I want to use the 24v because of the 300x300 printbed I plan.
An external MOFSET for the heated bed would be absolutely fine if not even preffered.

I plan an i3 style printer. Not sure yet if one or two z steppers.

I want to be able to run Marlin but also wnat to try Klipper.

I have an Arduino Mega 2560 lying arround. I checked some ebay kits, but they all come with an Arduino.

It doesn't need to be a RAMPS board. Just thought it would save some budget as I can use the MEGA.

Do I actually need to have other special components if going for 24v? Like the hotend or stepper drivers?

Thanks a lot in advance for your support.

If you use and external mosfet you don't need any other changes to run a heated bed at 24v. but you do still need to have 12v for everything else.

If you want other things to run at 24v read [reprap.org]
