0.5mm thin wall regular gaps

Hi,

I've recently changed my hotend but my nozzle diameter is still 0.35mm. Problem now is that at regular intervals on the 0.5 mm thin wall it looks like the hotend is not extrduing enough PLA.
I've recalibrated the e-steps but don't know what's causing this.
Only started when I replaced my hotend to a j-head.
Previously the thin wall was printing fine.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Maybe is the layer height. What layer height are you using?

I'm using 0.2mm layer hight at the moment.

Only thing about this is that the sections inbetween seems to be fine but then it's look to be certain sections inbetween that's off.

It almost looks like not enough pla is coming through but don't know why that would only happy on certain layers and at regular intervals?

Checked your hobbed Bolt? Everytime it comes to the blocked part the extruder wont extrude. And looking at your picture this is the problem as it happens every X layers...

What printer do you have?

I've taken out my hobbed bolt and cleaned it now. The patchy line are better but not gone.

I've got a mendelmax 1.5.

I've tried to tighten the screws in my wade extruder but not diffrence really.

Could this be something to do with the voltage that peaks to high on my pololu board at regular intervals as the heat maybe rises? Don't know really.

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out in depth later although this is mostly addressing the wobbling I think (which I also have sad smiley ) But need to delve into it deeper.
