Funny Corners, Please help. Slic3r

I have been using Cura for some time.. and had a minor issue of blobs on corners.... would love to get this fixed - went back to slic3r.

I have just upgrade to slic3r 1.001 Rc and getting terrible results on corners, there appears to be a vertical groove on every corner, also random dots.

I have duplicated as many settings from cura as I can..

Printing PLA with a direct drive extruder.Mk8 drive gear, on a Prusa i3 - at 70mm/s
Layer height 0.2 mm
Temp 200

I have pulled the acceleration, speed & temp up and down - no difference, at all.

I have tried temp from 185 - 205 .

and speed to 40mm/s
also extrusion width and amount checked many times, and pulled up and down.. not much change , just too much or to little plastic

I have made all adjustments in firmware.

I would really welcome your help. as this is driving me mad.

Would be good to get slic3r and cura working properly,

not sure where to go from here?
may be look at old slic3r 0.9.8?which in your opinion has been the best version?

The blobs in cura wont go either!

so with everything I have tried I still get blobs with Cura, and funny corners with Slic3r, what am I missing?

Hi,

I am not suer whether you can check the gcode in detail but I have had issues with the new slicer 1.0.0RC. It adds material in the corners especially if they were designed to be sharp.

you can magnify the gcode in the new pronterface and investigate it in 3d.

Hope that helps
