Printing Issue
February 08, 2014 09:28AM
The other day I printed this Octopus (Makerfarm Glow in the Dark Green 3mm ABS) from a Thingiverse file and I noticed it had a slight line going all the way up, like a big scar. Last night I printed a couple of scaled down pots using Makerfarm 3mm purple ABS and the lines were much more pronounced, there was also much more of an adhesion issue than in my other prints. I was wondering if anyone knew/had an idea what was causing this? The heat bed is set to 93 for the first layer and 100 for the rest, I'm printing with a magma hot end that is set at 230. I sliced the files with Slic3r.

Thanks!

Those look like start and stop marks for each layer. You are getting too much plastic extruded when changing layers. Try selecting "randomize starting points" in your settings.

Thanks! If I can ever get Slic3r to reopen, I'll try that.
