Weird vertical striations that only appear on Y axis.

Hello all,

I've replaced my linear bearings with igus polymer bushings on my Y axis and added the Z-Brace mod on my Wanhao Duplicator i3 and ever since I've had these weird vertical artifacts... I've made sure all corners are the same height from the table, all rods are tight and true, same for belts... Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Tom

Igus bushings are usually oversized and if not correctly constrained (aluminum housing or well printed housing) will vibrate or bind to the rod as it moves.

Even if they are self lubricated, you should try to lubricate the rods (use dry lubricants) to see if it helps a little.
