hello all

I had been built a prusa i3 clone from scratch.
Hi all

I have been built a prusa i3 clone,

I am having artifacts, using z-axis flexible couplers which may cause the problem.
I changed different trapezoidal lead screw 8mm,
z wobble seems reduced but still am not getting the perfect layer finish.

Controller: Ramps 1.6
Stepper driver: A4988 with tl smoother
Firmware marlin: 2.0 September 2018 edition

any help could be really appreciated

When I assembled my 3D Printer, there was artifacts that were indeed caused by the couplers.

To solve I wrapped a single layer of electricians tape around the Lead screw then inserted it into the flexible coupler, cutting off the excess still extruding the coupler.
This solved most of the the artifacting on my 3D Prints, you can also get artifacting by overlapping the infill with the outside walls too far.
