Slic3r do not start

When I tried to run slic3r I could not start program installed into w7/x64. Nothing happened when trying to run program from desktop. I sort of found out that as my name contains nonlatin/ascii chars, I was logged into w7 with a user name containing such chars,
If I logged into w7 with a name without these chars, problem disappeared and I could enter installed Slic3r.
Amazing program :-), but it may have a problem with "nonstandard chars" in program environment links.

I confirm there (was) a problem with non-ASCII characters in home path on Windows. Your debugging was right
The issue should be fixed in 0.9.9-dev and I hope to release the new version soon. In the mean time, as a workaround, you can create a data directory in a path with only ASCII characters in it (like C:\Slic3rData or whatever) and launch Slic3r from the command prompt with the --datadir C:\Slic3rData switch.
