Has anyone done this?

Are they standard sizes? I was sent a load from 3dfileprint for free, they're 0.4mm so I thought they were useless but I would like to experiment with larger sizes for faster printing....

Has anyone tried 0.6, 0.8 or even 1mm printing?

E3D hotends are supposed to be pretty nice. I just ordered one to try out yesterday.
