just wondering why my slicer is so slooooow!!
it always stops at the loading point shown on the image attached...

it isn't frozen, i can quite easliy cancel the g-code exporting...
it happens about 95% of the time. rarely i'll try to export g-code and it will work like a dream.

I have no other programmes running, there is no support material in the settings for the g-code.
my laptop isn't great but its fairly decent.

Im using slic3r versio 1.0.0RC3

any thoughts??

I have the same problem... But I like Slic3r... It does a good job 95% of the time...
My Big Blue project had problems with it thou....
The first time I tried it, it put a platform right through the middle of the Fan-Duct blanking everything off.
Another time it ignored some of the support walls under the duct....

Please send me a PM if you have suggestions, or problems with Big Blue 360.
I won't see comments in threads, as I move around to much.

Try to uncheck "avoid crossing perimeters" or something similar (I don't remember exactly...) that operation took a lot of time in slicing

@Kim;
Yea i do like slic3r, i havn't had any problems in any g-codes produced... only that on complex designs it some times doesn't complete creating the g-code. 1 or two files I've had to give up with as i left the computor whirling away for about 2 hours and still nothing...
Is the big blue file complete now? was going to try printing the other day but read you were having problems creating the g-code? confused smiley

@Zonzo;
I'll try that tonight, good idea.

My record so far, 4 hours plus for slicing a single stl file ! Already informed and didn't get any useful info from slic3r's author so far. I like it though.
