How to check values uploaded to Arduino Board

Hi All

I received an Arduino mega 1280 with ramps 1.4 all put together. It has been flashed with sprinter firmware.

I downloaded Arduino software and have connected to the board and tested via the blinking light test

When I try to connect through pronterface it just hangs (I have tried all baud rates)

Could the problem be with the the firmware that has been previously flashed.

Is there a way to check what is on the board and while I am at it check the values for x y z drives etc.

Or am I completly on the wrong track yet again.

If you ran the blink test from the Arduino environment you will have erased any firmware previously loaded on the board. You will need to reload it.

It all makes sense now !

It certainly is an interesting project to embark upon.

It is a case of two steps forward and one back.

Not a learning curve more like a learning wobble.
