So am I ready to print?

Hello, completely new guy here!

I've been wanting to build a 3d printer for a while now and I've finally bumped into an opportunity to print the parts to make a prusa mendel.

I'm printing all the parts at my school for the cost of the ABS alone.

So I've got the stl's from github from prusajr and I'm wondering.

Do they only need metric-prusa mendel plat 1, 2, 3, and 4?

Are those the only stl's I need to print all the parts?

I'm still doing research on all this but he guides for a prusa seem to be outdated compared to the parts from github.

Any help to a newbie question is much appriciated.

It looks like that is complete. Keep in mind that prusa 2 is still in the working phase though. It goes togehter in a very similiar manner to the original. It does look like that is a accessible Wades extruder which you can find the instructions for in various places. Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply! smiling smiley

I'll be using the metric prusa files from github alone.

I live in the states but it shouldn't be too difficult to get metric parts. I prefer the metric system anyway.

I am in the states as well. I have found Mcmaster-Carr to be a very good supplier of the metal bits. I was floored by the local hardware stores selection of metric bolts as well. Good luck.

I used makerfarm, they had pretty good instructions too. I purchased a nearly complete kit, you can see which one in my BOM on my site if you want more info.
