Print quality....

Gents,

Yes, one more post about print quality...

Have a look at the two pics I uploaded, it is ''Hippo_1'' downloaded from Thingiverse. I am quite satisfied with the sides of the print but the top is not good at all. I printed it using a MakerBot Replicator but I also get similar results using my Prussa. Settings were 1 shell, layer at 0.2, extruder temp at 220 bed temp at 110. I'm I missing something or is this the best I can get?

Perhaps try the latest Slic3r released yesterday. I think I read it increases the number of perimeters if the infill would become visible due to a shallow slope.

Unless I'm missing something, the latest Slic3r doesn't work with the makerbot dual.....I'll try to change some settings in Skeinforge...
