Orca 0.2 Skeinforge Configuration

Hi

I have Orca 0.2 with hot end v0.9. Can someone give me some start off settings for skeinforge. I really dont know where to start. Should I follow some online articles? They talk about gear rations etc for flow speed and all that. Is that necesary? Please reply soon. I really wwant to be able to print soon. A complete newbie here.

Is it worth trying out Slic3r first if you want to get going soon? It sorts out most things automatically. Then as you get used to the machine look at going with SF?

Oh okay I will try Slic3r. I thought skeinforge gave better prints? I am not sure. Right now I am getting very bad prints. Long way of calibration I presume.

Following on my checklist:

1) Realign Z axis

2) Get Marlin values correct. I read on a wiki that depending on the teeth the units per mm change. So I might calculate my own values. I dont know if thats necessary. Or if I can find those values from somewhere.
