Heat bed thermistor reading

Hi,

I'm continuing to build my pro mendel following the instructions, and I came up with an issue.

The thermistor's resistance is 15 K at a room temperature of 14 ºC. As it's mentioned on the building instructions, the normal reading should be 10 K, but also says that that might vary with the temperature. To make a little test, I heat up the bed with a hair dryer so that the bed is warm.

Then the resistence measured is 10,8 K. I'm very very rusty on my electronics knowledge so, could you please let me know if this is as supposed?

Thanks.

Regards.

Here's an example thermistor curve to help you think about it. ( R is inversely proportional to temp.) Can't speak directly to *your thermistor, but otherwise, yeah...temp goes up resistance (should) go down.

Thanks xiando,

That is very helpful and it reflects exactly my measurements.
One less issue to concern about. smiling smiley
Moving on to the more difficult parts ... extruder and hot end are next ...
