Motors not turning on

I am using pronterface(mac) and am trying to get my printer to callibrate. The only problem is that on pronterface none of the motors will move and the extruder and bed aren't heating up. But when I use the reprap test code
[reprap.org]
all the motors move fine and the bed and extruder heat up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you click on the "connect" button and it says "connected"?

Ya i did. I didn't set the motherboard to the correct one and now it is working fine
