I am new to 3d printing but am interested in building one. Which one would offer me broad options(abs, plc, heated bed etc.), but also be the cheapest one to build? I do not currently have access to a 3d printer, so printing parts to build one is hard. I also have a very small budget.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks, Peter

Hi,

I'm loving my RepRapPro Mono Mendel. There have been a few hiccups and gotcha's along the way but any kit build is going to be a learning experience. Took a good 10 days to build (evenings mostly). It has a heated bed so handles PLA and ABS and has a relatively large build platform.

I would totaly recommend a Prusa i3,

And one of the cheapest, easyst way to go in my opinion isnt realy the alu version since it will need some more calibiration,
But the Makerfarm.com is fully wood, except the extruder parts are plastic,

everything is perfectly laser cutted so ye ^^

about 585 dollars for the 8 inch version, so its very cheap aswell ^^

I am looking for something I can build, without a kit, very inexpensively. I am willing to do hand soldering and can do a bit of 2d cnc. Is there anyone willing to print parts for me?
