Building 3D Printer/Newbie Questions

I am wanting to build a 3D printer as project I found the printer I want to build (Wallace). I'm wondering where I get the printed parts for building the Wallace.

I bought mine from the folks at [www.fabbr.com] -- I sent them an email linking to the STLs on thingiverse and they printed them up for me.

I think many folks watching [forums.reprap.org] could do something similar.

Your choice, really. RAMPS, Melzi, Sanguinololu - all would work. It's difficult to tell, but I think the picture on reprap.org shows a Sanguinololu.

In terms of getting parts printed, you can also upload them to Shapeways.com or do a google search to see if there's a Hackerspace or Makerspace near you with a 3D printer. Fabbr might be cheaper than Shapeways though; I really don't know.
