ecksbot printer new chip

hi guys

I already assembled my Ecksbot 3D printer but when i wanted to start printing i noticed that some of the components weren't working... on closer inspection I found that my bios chip was turned around and i put it back in the same way hoping for the best...

Unfortunately I see that the chip has been damaged and is not functioning properly, the hotend, hot bed and extruder won't activate.

Does anyone know what a new chip would cost?

Your post is not making sense... there is no "bios chip"

First lets confirm your electronics. It is this [www.eckertech.com]
If so this is a standard ramps.

The ramps consists of:
mega2560, this is the cpu and firmware of the system.
RAMPS, this is the top board, the interface board to the real world.
DRV8825 drivers. These are the stepper drivers

So what bit are you talking about?

From your fault description im guessing the mega, but I cant see how you could have that turned around.

The only thing that can be put on backwards, in a pre-assembled RAMPS, would be the stepper drivers. You can buy a DRV8825 for $13.95 from www.eckertech.com/electronics/
