Is PETG viable for a delta effector, E3D v5 hotend?

Is PETG viable for a delta effector, E3D v5 hotend?

As the title says.

Would PETG be viable to use printing a new effector for a delta?
Or will it melt from the heat?

The specific PETG in question: [reprap.me]

It´s probably to flexible?!
I thought the same about printing the corners of a Kossel 250 delta.

So ABS is the only thing good enough for that...

I didn't think of that at all, I was more concerned about the heat.

Don't think the pieces I've printed so far flexes much, don't have any ABS to compare with though...

On the thought of a 250 delta, still going to use 2020 for the towers, or are you going for something else?

There is a different design to use for corners if you are going to use 2040 or 2060 for the towers.

i see no problem with it being for the effector, it really doesn't get hot at all. and a chunk of PETG the size of an effector isn't flexible at all

My simple delta carrier is parametric, so I can change to any extrusion size I like. I found the 2020 Kossel corners on thingiverse, so I give it a try.
Melting/warping corners won´t be an issue for me, because I will use cork dampers for the stepper.

My PLA effector works fine...

I just finished printing all Kossel parts in PETG and I´m glad I did.
The corners are indestructible and the vertical carriers for the rollers are flexible enough to dampen bearing vibrations.
The effector I made is a bit to weak ( by design ) , so I will stiffen it by using 3 long M3 threads for the Traxxas joints instead of 6 short screws.

I printed my effector (own design) in PETG and the few prints I've made since have been working without problems, at least any problems pertaining to the effector.

But I can think that if the fan were to breakdown or something like that, PETG would not be good.... On the other hand maybo no plastic would be, don't know how hot it gets without the fan.

My fan broke down and ruined my ABS effector, so thats gonna happen no matter the material (except metal of course)
