Is there a need for 2 perimeters? If one is ok it would cut down on print time. I guess it would depend on needed shell thickness.

Mechanical strength is mostly in the surface. Also organic shapes can come out better with more shells

With 2 perimeters, the infill typically shows through clearly. With 3 shells the infill is almost invisible in the surface of the print.
