Need some help with first 3D printer

Hi guys so I'm very new to all of this and atm I'm 3/4 of the way through assembling my prusa i3 and the instructions they sent are more or less useless. I've ran into a few problems such as not having the correct size screws etc. I'm almost finished the physical assembly after installing the extruder but I have a issue with the threaded rods for the Z axis assembly I think. The instructions say they should be 320mm or 32cm from end to end and mine are 31.5 cm and I cant see anyway to adjust it. They slide into the holes perfectly and everything looks good but I take it they are supposed to be 32cm for a reason so is there anyway I can fix this?

BTW I have the newer version of the i3 [www.ebay.com.au]

5mm on your Z threaded rods won't make any difference. I doubt you could get the z-axis high enough that the carriage assembly would fall off.

I thought that may have been the case. But with everything needing to be so precise I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the quick reply
