Hi

I am trying to setup skeinforge for my mendel from mendel-parts with GEN6 electronics. I've run into a problem with getting the retraction function, under dimensions, to work. No matter which values i use the extruder won't retract.
Am I missing something ?

Check the E values in the resulting GCode file. Make sure you can spot sections where E values are less than the previous value (indicating a retraction).

What values are you using in dimension for retraction?

I am using extruder retraction speed 30 mm/s, retraction distance 5 mm, and restart 0. And just checked the G-code and there is no sign of the retraction.

make the distance like 50mm

Funny in the SF thread I was told to use 16mm/s and 0.6 which is much better than large numbers

I just checked the gcode again, and i think i found the problem in it.
G-code snippit:
G1 X73.76 Y72.15 E15.1766
G1 X73.29 Y72.28 E15.926
G1 X72.78 Y72.61 E16.8649
G1 F1800.0
;6.8649

As I see it there needs to say G1 E6.8649 in the last line, but i have no idea why it doesn't :|

Found the problem. It was the replace.csv that replaced the retraction gcode. Thanks for your help smiling smiley
