Hi guys,
I have been having filament feed issues and have noticed that tension arm of the bowden unit seems to be loose on the mounting screw, in that there is a lot of sideways movement. This would cause the guide to move sideways against the hobbed bolt and I think this is creating the filament shredding and irregular feed issues that I am experiencing.
It appears that the mounting screw is too long as it will not tighten the arm up against the face of the extruder.
I was planning on using a few washers at the hex screw head (thereby shortening the screw), or a smaller screw, so that the tension arm will tighten up. I was also planning on placing a small washer between the tension arm and the extruder face to provide a small gap. These measures should eliminate the sideways movement of the tension arm along its mounting screw.
I hope you can follow.
Has anybody had similar issues and is what I am proposing the easiest way to rectify?
