Menu disappearing

I have Prusa i3 variation with the GT2560 board.

It has a strange behaviour with the menu. When the machine is turned on the info screen shows the full set of information (all 4 lines of the LCD), and going into the menu I can see 4 lines of menu items. After 2-3 seconds half of the screen disappears only the top 2 lines are showing. This is for the menu.

I have flashed a new firmware, a few times, but the problem persists.

I wonder if this is just my board/lcd or is this a known issue?

I had similar thoughts, but wouldn't you then expect the LCD to never show the bottom two lines? But they do show for 2-3 seconds and then disappear.
