Two BEDs
March 15, 2016 02:04PM
Hi,
I am currently buidling a large 3D printer with TWO Beds.
Each bed has it own power supply and temperature sensor.

Now I need the each bed temperature sensor to be handled by Marlin,

Has someone already done that ? Can current Marlin handle two temperature sensor for the BED ?

See my build blog here: [effetdebord.blogspot.fr].

Thanks for your help

Well,
The third temp sensor is for the second extruder.
You could hack the code to do it. Actually you could hack the code to do anything.
But do you really need two temp probes? Unless you want to operate the two beds
seperately, a single probe on one bed with both heatbeds connected to a single, say
solid state relay should do.
As long as the beds have near identical resistance with the same plate on them,
any heating on one would be duplicated on the other. But there would a difference.

There are spare analog connecters on AUX2. Don't know what it is connected to off hand

i am building a large printer too, with 4 30x30 beds, each with its own power supply and run off of a relay, im only using one temp sensor, i dont see why you want to control each bed seperately
